What it is

Bitcoin dominance is the share of the total value of all crypto that sits in Bitcoin. When it rises, money is usually moving towards Bitcoin. When it falls, money is often moving out into smaller coins.

How to read it

Dominance is a ratio, so it can rise while Bitcoin falls, if everything else falls faster. Always read it beside price.
